Higher Education For Students

Our Reasons

Our Reasons

Higher education is a vehicle to lessen the equity gaps that exist. We understand that Black students face barriers before they even step foot on campus. Our reason for adding the scholarship initiative to our organization in 2013 was because we wanted to do something to help overcome the financial barrier that exist and make it easier for Black students to start and finish their education.
Our History

Our History

In 2013 the African American Hall of Fame Museum saw the need to provide a means to an education that extended beyond the walls of our museum. We began granting scholarships to high school students from within our community as an expansion of our mission.
Our Impact

Our Impact

The African American Hall of Fame Museum started the scholarship initiative in 2013. With the help of our generous sponsors we have been able to provide over $195,500 to students who have worked hard to earn acceptance into various Colleges and Universities.
